Although Dubai is often known for its fast cars and massive yachts, it is a great place to enjoy walking. A walk is great to clear the head and feel good and Dubai has some great locations for people to enjoy a walk. I would definitely advise where to walk in dubai that you know the walking direction before heading out in the heat and definitely take plenty of water as the Dubai temperatures are very hot.

Palm Jumeirah Crescent
The Palm Jumeirah is one of the iconic places in Dubai. A boardwalk recently opened along the outside crescent and is 11K in length. The walk offers beautiful views of the Arabian Gulf, the Downtown area, and the Marina. The full walk is long and only those who are fit enough should do as there is no shade along the way. If you think you’re up for the challenge and ready for magnificent views then talk a walk along the Palm Jumeirah Crescent.
Burj Park
Burj Park is an 11,300 square meter park that makes for a perfect location for a walk. Visitors can walk around the park and surrounding area of the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountains or use the park as the start and end of a more advanced walk through the Downtown area.
Dubai Marina
Dubai Marina is one of the top walks to do in Dubai. There is a waterside track that takes visitors around a complete of the Marina. The loop is 7km and should take around 1 1/2 hours at a steady pace. The route is very flat and can be enjoyed by people of all abilities, populated with runners and people enjoy a scenic stroll. The walking route allows you to see the amazing yachts docked at the yacht club and has a stop halfway through at a bakery where you can pick up a sweet treat. This sounds like my kind of walk! If you want to further enjoy every attraction from the water, you can also go for a dhow cruise Dubai.
Jumeirah Public Beach
Jumeirah Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Dubai. As well as beautiful sand and sea, the beach is surrounded by a park. This is a great place for visitors to enjoy a full day at the beach and is popular for people to enjoy a walk. One of the best things to do is to have a walk along the beach. There is also a great walk that goes from Kite Beach to Jumeirah Public and back again. This is a short but fun walk, especially for beach fans.
Burj Al Arab to Dubai Marine Beach Resort & Spa
One of the most beautiful places to walk or run is along the running track that is along the coastline from the edge of the Burj Al Arab to the Dubai Marine Beach Resort and Spa. It spans a total of 14k and provides excellent views along the coastline overlooking the Arabian Gulf and stunning buildings.
I would advise you to only walk short distances in the hot temperatures. If you want to run outside then try and run in the early morning hours when it isn’t as hot. And make sure you take water with you as the heat can soon get to you when you are running or walking and sweating.
If you’re planning on traveling to Dubai from Johannesburg then make sure you look at how to get the best flights from Johannesburg to Dubai. And try one of these fun walks that will give you spectacular views of the amazing city. And don’t forget to check out the list of all the things to do in Dubai before you go!
Also, one of the best activities to try out after the walking tour is a Dubai Desert Safari. What makes it a must-try is that there are only a handful of places in the world where you can explore deserts. Among them, the experience in Dubai is the most coveted by all tourists.
